About Mosaic North

Our Vision

At Mosaic Community Church North, we are part of the most amazing story in the world: the story of God redeeming all of mankind through the ministry of Jesus, empowered by the Holy Spirit and offered through the Church, "the fullness of Him who fills all in all" (Ephesians 1:23).

Throughout the New Testament, we see followers of Jesus from drastically different backgrounds, with unique, Spirit-empowered gifts, come together to form a mature, healthy expression of the family of God. Our name, Mosaic, expresses this very desire. Each person who calls Mosaic North home is broken in unique ways, each from different backgrounds, and each with an essential, Spirit-empowered gift to bring our church into maturity.

OUR THEOLOGY IN A WORD: JESUS. WE WANT TO BE LIKE HIM, LIVE ACCORDING TO HIS WAYS, AND INTRODUCE OTHERS TO HIM. WE BELIEVE THE BIBLE. WE STUDY IT NOT FOR KNOWLEDGE ALONE, BUT TO BE HOLISTICALLY TRANSFORMED INTO THE LIKENESS OF JESUS.
Meet our leaders
Meet our leaders

Mosaic North is governed by a local Senior Leadership Board (SLB) made up of three members: Paul, Andrew and Garrett. There is also an Advisory Board made up from members from across the Antioch Movement who cover and oversee the local SLB.

Garrett Gerlach chairs the SLB, and he has served as the lead pastor of Mosaic North since 2023.

Garrett and Shelly have been married for 11 years. In 2014, they were a part of planting Mosaic North in Edmonds. They have three children: Roy (6), Willy (4) and Rocky (2).

Garrett has been in vocational ministry for over 10 years including a wide variety of roles such as local church leadership, regional church planting, youth ministry, college ministry at Seattle campuses and Mosaic’s discipleship school directing to name a few.

Garrett studied his undergraduate degree at the University of Washington (go dawgs!) and continued his education at Western Theological seminary in Portland. He enjoys all things Pacific Northwest like hiking, skiing, surfing and camping. Garrett, being born and raised in Edmonds, did not imagine raising his family here, but he so thankful God has kept him local.

Meet our team

This is a snap shot of our staff and spouses from our annual staff Christmas party. There is so much work that this team does to steward what God has trusted us with at Mosaic North. We truly could not Love God, Love People and Change the World without the incredible team of staff and leaders God has formed.

Mosaic North's Story

In 2014, there was a number of families and individuals who had been traveling down to Mosaic Community Church in Seattle from the Edmonds area. Following the prompting and leadership of God, the leadership of Mosaic Seattle identified six mature Jesus-following leaders and sent them north to establish Mosaic Community Church North in Edmonds.

Since 2014, Mosaic North has met in school auditoriums, local churches, gymnasiums, the local movie theater and even a field during the pandemic. Throughout the years, God has been faithful to his promises to continue to provide and remain the cornerstone for Mosaic North.

The desire of the original launch team in 2014 is still what we long to see today: to see the Kingdom of God expand in southwest Snohomish County!

The Antioch Movement

Mosaic North is part of the Antioch International Movement of Churches and is connected with other Antioch churches in the Seattle region: Mosaic Seattle and Mosaic Eastside.

Together, we are a movement of churches connected by relationship and a desire to love God, love one another and love those who do not know Jesus, through the power and work of the Holy Spirit. The Antioch movement, which began more than 20 years ago, is dedicated to seeing the local church reproduce the Kingdom of God through evangelism and discipleship throughout the United States and around the world.
